The Northeast...

Is cool! No, I REALLY mean it is cool. Like 82 degrees cool! And that was the high of the day! We worked at the Greater Boston Food Bank today and had great success. And then we travelled up to Portland, Maine!

I'm really exhausted as is the group and we are going to bed VERY satisfied that we were privileged to be used by God today. I am very proud of the teens. What a GREAT group we have. I will share more tomorrow when I can keep my eyes open a little longer! Haha! I love you all!

  2. Hope everyone is having a great time. I know Jessica is. She was messing with her dad and me tonight on her call laughingly telling us she was in Portland, OR, then finally telling us she was in Portland, Maine, Sounds like they are happy, working some, and enjoying fellowship with others. Have fun.

  3. Sherman and Group, I want to say congrats on your committment to serve God on your Road Trip 2009. I know that God has a special purpose planned for all of you this week and I want to encourage you to pray that you receive a full measure of the Spirit this week. Stop and look at your friends and coworkers in Christ and remember how they look in the Maine sunlight (hopefully) and remember how happy you are and can be while doing the Lord's work. God has prepared all of you for this work...Eph 2:10. Please make every effort to burn this memory into you mind, don't forget that your purpose here is to continue God's purpose for you & have fun while doing it! I'll be praying for you,
    Your devastatingly handsome former intern

    It sounds sooooooo...COOL! (literally)
As the Word says, the Lord loves a cheerful giver. You are giving your hearts, your time and your talents this week. You are making a difference in the lives of so many people. You may never know exactly how many, but God will know. You will be blessed for being a cheerful giver.
Enjoy your time in the cooler part of our country.

  6. Loved hearing about the work you all did at the Boston food bank. Matt said you guys sorted tons and tons of food. I've worked in food banks before and that can be some hard work! Proud of you all!

    Blessings!
